Although a few individual records were set Saturday night in North Park's thrilling 41-13 victory over visiting Anderson University, it was a team effort that withstood the most in the largest margin of victory to start the season since the 2005 campaign.

North Park racked up nearly 600 yards of total offense and forced six turnovers while building a 21-0 lead early in the second quarter. Their 41-point outburst was the most since the 1980 season when the Vikings opened with a 47-20 triumph. After a 36-yard touchdown pass from T.D. Conway to Norman Cupicciotti and a 61-yard pass play from Conway to Kadarius Daniels early in the second quarter, Conway became the all-time career leader in touchdown passes with 56 when he found Jordan Turner for a 10-yard scoring pass, which ended a 4-play, 63-yard drive with 10:11 remaining in the second quarter.

Not to be remissed was the effort of the Viking defense as well. Led by nine tackles each from Matt DiFecchio, Uluao Letuli, and Austin Regel – along with a forced fumble from both Regel and David Simmons, Jr., the Vikings befuddled Anderson into four first-half turnovers while building their advantage.
