Despite holding a 9-5 first half shots edge, North Park couldn't figure visiting Benedictine University as the Eagles escaped with a 2-1 victory Saturday night.
Nick Kapetanos was the offensive leader for Benedictine as he tallied a pair of goals in each half and finished with five total shots.
Carel Kawele Kuzona tallied the lone goal for the Vikes as he put away a Chase Lennartz offering in the 61st minute in the bottom left of the goal. North Park then had an opportunity to tie it in the 88th minute with a scramble in the goal box, but the shot hit the crossbar.
NP totaled 18 shots, with Gianfranco DeCarne firing five, four on goal. Emil Eriksson added four while both Kuzona and Matias Warp each had three.
The Vikings (3-2-1) look to rebound Wednesday when it hosts the University of Dubuque at 7 p.m.
