Although they produced a low shot total, there weren't any shortage of goals as North Park earned its sixth-straight win, a 3-0 shutout over host Augustana College Saturday.

With the victory, NP improved to 5-0 in the CCIW, its best start since the 2006 season when the Vikings earned a regular season conference championship.

NP managed seven shots in the first half and 10 total, but made the most of its shots on goal (6) as the visitors found the back of the net twice in the opening 20 minutes. Nikolay Ianev put away his second goal of the season in the eighth minute when he took a Kebba Sanyang pass and scored on a through ball. The Vikings then moved ahead 2-0 when Gianfranco DeCarne came away with his third goal in the last two matches when he fired a heel shot off a Chase Lennartz assist. Not even 10 minutes later Carel Kawele Kuzona made it a three-goal advantage when he received an Emil Eriksson pass for his eighth goal of the season.

Of North Park's 10 shots, DeCarne recorded three while both Kawele Kuzona and Matias Warp each had two. The Vikings went deep into their bench and 18 different players, including keeper Isaiah Stewart, saw playing time in the match. Starting keeper Wesley Woodley made three saves and earned his second shutout of the season. Daniel Artman led Augustana with two shots.

North Park (9-2-1, 5-0) returns to action Wednesday night when it hosts Carthage College for a 7 p.m. contest.
