After a strong showing last Tuesday, North Park suffered a heartbreaking 9-0 loss to Augustana Tuesday afternoon. The Vikings however, did show some great resilience throughout the match.

Augustana earned victories in every match, taking the Vikings No. 1-6 singles in straight sets for only the second time this season. The closest match for NP came at No. 1 singles where Lisa Daniels suffered a 3-6, 3-6 loss that saw plenty of great volleys and hard-hitting serves.

The No. 1 doubles team of Daniels and Juviel Vinluan came out of the strong, leading 3-1 at one point. However the AC team of Dana Goggin and Lauren Goggin were solid in their comeback, prevailing with an 8-3 victory.

North Park (2-6, 0-5) looks to bounce back Friday when it travels to Elmhurst for a 3:30 p.m. CCIW contest with Elmhurst College.
