The North Park tennis team ended the 2014 season with a heartbreaking 9-0 loss to Carthage College Saturday afternoon at the McFetridge Tennis Complex.

Carthage earned victories in every match, taking the Vikings No. 1-6 singles in straight sets for only the third time this season. The closest match for NP came at No. 1 singles where Lisa Daniels suffered a 3-6, 1-6 loss that saw plenty of great volleys and hard-hitting serves.

The No. 1 doubles team of Daniels and Juviel Vinluan came out of the strong, but ultimately fell 8-3.

After a week and a half of training, the Vikings will compete at the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Oct. 16-18. Times and the tournament site are yet to be determined.
