Stany Lokamba was looking to have a breakout game after he recorded only one shot in the last two contests for North Park.
He did it in a big way Wednesday night in a non-conference clash with visiting Robert Morris University.
Lokamba put away a pair of goals and assisted on another as the Vikings earned a 5-0 win, improving their record to 8-1 on the year. The victory was also their second-straight shutout and their fifth overall.
Lokamba needed only two shots to put away his second and third goals of the season. The first came for the freshman in 16th minute when he buried a shot in the bottom left corner of the net off an assist from Markus Fodstad. Forty-four minutes later, after Fodstad connected with Fredrik Greiff for the Vikings' second goal of the night in the 52nd minute, Lokamba came up big again this time tallying a shot off a Przemyslaw Zabielski pass that just skipped past the RMU goalie after he came out to defend the shot.
Although the Eagles dropped the decision, the final margin wasn't nearly indicative of how well the visitors played. Robert Morris stayed with North Park in the shot margin (15-14) and could have easily taken the lead early on as it fired four quick shots that were saved by NP keeper Wesley Woodley, who made five in all.
Lokamba's assist came in the 62nd minute after he set up Lashlee with a perfect pass on the left side of the box. Lashlee in turn fired a shot from five yards back that landed in the bottom left corner of the net. Dominik Wardzala then added the final tally of the night on a 20-yard strike off the left side in the 85th minute. Juan Hincapie crossed a pass to Wardzala for the tally.
