CHICAGO, Ill. -- The North Park University women's soccer team concluded its three-match homestand falling to the Augustana College Vikings in overtime, 1-2, at the Holmgren Athletic Complex on Saturday.
North Park and Augustana were both held scoreless in the first half. North Park managed only two shots in the first half - one by sophomore Clara Wernbo and freshman Moa Thomsson. Augustana was led by Jenna Dvorak and Allison Harvey with two shots apiece.
Halftime: Tied at 0
In the second half, North Park pulled ahead. In the 54th minute, off a corner kick by sophomore Mikaela Mandala, senior captain Sam Moreno scored her fourth goal of the season to put North Park up a goal. The North Park defense, spearheaded by junior Jamie Gordon and freshman Brianna Andrade, held Augustana at bay until the 88th minute when Augie senior Lauren Muzzalupo scored her third goal of the season, tying the match at one. The late goal would force an overtime to decide the winner.

Unfortunately. Augustana rode their 17-shot second half momentum into OT, as Muzzalupo marked the game-winner in the 96th minute to seal the victory.
