Svensson earned a bachelor of science in finance from the University and graduated magna cum laude. He earned three letters in soccer, was most valuable player three years and was a two-time team captain. He was first- or second-team CCIW All-Conference in 2000, 2001 and 2002, and was twice named All-Region by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Svensson graduated in three years, earning a combined grade point average of 3.88, was on the dean's list every semester and was Academic All-CCIW. He was the 2003 North Park University Senior Athlete of the Year. Svensson and his wife, Krissy, also a North Park University graduate, are parents of two children, Ebba and Knoa. They are active members at Church of the Open Door, Maple Grove, Minn.
