CHICAGO, IL – After tossing a complete game shutout in game 1 against Carroll University this past Friday, freshman right-hander Michael Pritts has been named the CCIW Pitcher of the Week.
Pritts, a native of Johnsburg, Illinois, helped lead the Vikings to a 5-0 win on Friday as he struck out five batters, allowed no runs, and issued just one walk. To add to his standout performance, he did not surrender an extra base hit in the outing.

Pritts currently owns a team-best 2.61 ERA, an overall record of 3-1, and has walked just 6 batters while striking out 20.
This is the second Viking pitcher honored with CCIW recognition, as sophomore Matt Pizur was a week 4 recipient for his shutout performance against Wisconsin Lutheran on March 15th.
North Park baseball (9-11, 4-1 CCIW), will host the Titans of Illinois Wesleyan University tomorrow afternoon for a single game at the Holmgren Athletic Complex.
