North Park baseball junior Nick Soldano earned College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Pitcher of the Week honors for the second straight week Tuesday.

Soldano, a native of Lake Zurich, Ill., and a graduate of Zion-Benton High School (Business & Economics major), pitched all nine innings and picked up the win in a 5-4 victory over North Central on Saturday to clinch the Vikings' first outright CCIW regular season title since 1990. He scattered seven hits, gave up only two earned runs, struck out 11 and walked only one to move to 8-1 on the season. He improved his strikeout total to a team-best 86.

North Park returns to action this Thursday when it hosts the first round of the CCIW tournament, where they will take on No. 4 seed Augustana College at 5 p.m.
