A total of 47 student-athletes were named to the All-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Academic team for the fall of the 2011-12 school year at North Park University.

To be eligible, student-athletes must carry an overall grade point average of 3.30 or above and have lettered in their respective sport for the past season.

In addition to the 47 student-athletes named, sophomore Shelby Switzer of the North Park volleyball team, and senior Josh Startup of the North Park football team, were the recipients of the CCIW's prestigious Jack Swartz award for carrying a 3.5 grade point average or above.

The Jack Swartz award is named in honor of the late former Wheaton College tennis coach, athletics director and CCIW commissioner who enjoyed a distinguished career in intercollegiate athletics, both as a student-athlete and coach, as well as an administrator.

Switzer became the first female athlete at North Park to earn the Jack Swartz award in back-to-back years and the first North Park volleyball player to earn it as well. She led the volleyball team with 15 double-doubles this past season, including five double-doubles in the last five matches, which earned her an All-CCIW conference honorable mention selection, the second of her career. She finished the season leading the team in kills with 446, was third in defensive digs (343) and fourth in service aces with 24. Her 446 kills are a career-high as it brought her two-year total to 816.

Startup started in all five games he appeared in on the offensive line, and was the recipient of the George Amundsen Viking Warrior Award.
