Box Score
The North Park women's basketball team fell 79-47 to visiting Carthage College in College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin action Wednesday night.
Despite the loss, North Park used the second half to showcase what its bench could do and the Vikings played strong, especially junior guard
Natalie Cerda, who finished with a season-high eight points. Cerda shot 3-of-5 from the floor, and was a perfect 2-of-2 from the free throw line. She also had a steal and lay-up on a fast break with just under two minutes left in the contest.
Also seeing some solid playing time in the second half was freshman
Kayla Scoggins, who contributed a career-high five points. Scoggins knocked down a pair of shots, and grabbed three rebounds. Senior
Antionette Collman was the only Viking in double-figure scoring as she tallied 10 points in 17 minutes of play. Diana Jacklin led Carthage with a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds.
North Park (8-12, 2-7) returns to action this weekend when it travels to Bloomington to face Illinois Wesleyan University at 5 p.m.
