CHICAGO, IL (May 1, 2010) – The North Park men's golf team finished tied for sixth at the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Championships at Bolingbrook Golf Course this past weekend.

After shooting a team score of 352 in the third round Friday, the Vikings bounced back strong, knocking nearly forty strokes off their score to finish with a 666 two-day score and a 1292 total four-round score, tying Augustana College.

Senior Robin Hakansson improved on his third round score by six strokes after shooting a 78, to finish with an overall 162, tied for 13th individually. Senior Blake Blumenstock and sophomore Dave Niemiec finished tied for 17th as they each shot 163, with 82 and 75 Day 2 scores, respectively. Sophomore Andy Hayes finished with a 178, coming back to shoot 79 on Day 2 and senior Rob Anderson shaved 13 shots off his third round score of 100, to finish with 187 overall.
