CHICAGO (October 15, 2011) – The North Park football team fell 28-0 to visiting Wheaton College in College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin action for Homecoming Saturday.

Despite the loss, NP had a few strong individual performances, led by 105 yards rushing on 15 carries from junior Matt Hassan. Senior punter Mark Howard also collected 229 yards punting for a 45.8 yards per punt average with one touchback.

On the ground, the Vikings out-gained Wheaton in rushing with 182 yards, and had 223 yards of total offense. Senior wide receiver Sam Cochiaro was strong as well on special teams as he had four kickoff returns of 57 total yards.

North Park (3-3, 0-3) returns to action next weekend when it travels to Rock Island to take on CCIW opponent Augustana College at 1 p.m.
